Institutional Engagements

In a unique transference of private sector know-how to not-for-profit organizations, Strategic Leisure began more than a decade ago with the mission to create Enriched Realitysm leisure destinations, “where entertainment, information and people flourish®.

In this arena, Strategic Leisure provides Strategic Design services, and has been engaged to conduct a range of strategic, economic and physical planning, and implementation consulting.

Deploying the Conceptual Development Strategy process, Strategic Leisure directly combines product positioning and multi-variable analytics, with the narrative of place – the effective telling of a three dimensional tale – communicating through the multi-sensory medium of immersion.

Strategic Leisure has applied its Strategic Design experience to a range of not-for-profit organizations, including zoos (Baltimore Zoo, Minnesota Zoo, and, The Phoenix Zoo), the Baltimore Museum of Art, Casper Wyoming Adventure Center, Cleveland Orchestra, Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA), Field Museum of Natural History, London Science Museum, and the Minnesota Children’s Museum.

The elegant balance of Strategic Design

Strategic Leisure has also worked for a governmental agency, the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority, on its redevelopment of Navy Pier in Chicago; and, for a private Christian organization, Rocketown, on a teen nightclub and recreation center, in Nashville, Tennessee.
